RSS penetration in Hindi journalism: When journalists consider it honour to stand with Sangh chief

Can you imagine a journalist working with India's largest selling Hindi newspaper, seeking blessings of the chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)--the extremist Hindu group that has been banned several times in history.

The journalist Vijay Mohan Tiwari proudly shares photographs of his book release with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

It's an old photo but that's an example. Tiwari is not alone. There are hundreds of such journalists who have no qualms in standing with Sangh.

They never realise that no mainstream journalist in USA or Europe would share the dais let alone touch feet of any Nazi group, KKK or right-wing fanatic organisations in those countries.

In Ajmer blast case, RSS radicals were convicted. The man who killed Gandhi was also associated with RSS. The organisation is not registered but gives open arms training to volunteers. Its past sarsanghchalaks are known for their anti-Muslim and anti-Christian views.

RSS is an organisation of upper caste fanatics and its members have been indicted for umpteen communal riots, pogroms apart from getting arrested and convicted for terror attacks. But that's India. Here journalism is nothing but selling souls, now.

There is no sense of propriety. This happens in full public view and no one even objects. You can side with extremists or fascists as long as you get power or money. This is what journalism and journalists have reached, in the country.
