NDTV: Bareli, Bu'ddh'ia and Mustakin

Every day you just tune in on the NDTV and find nothing but spelling mistakes. Frankly, I don't expect it from Prannoy Roy's channel.
Silly spelling mistakes. Don't they know Sonia Gandhi-fame Raebareli is quite far from Bareilly and both these spellings are well-known. But they make sure to interchange them.
Budhia is driven from Budh (Wednesday born) not Buddha. But he becomes Buddhia. What nonsense? Imagine, even Hindu and Muslim names are wrongly pronounced. One Mustaqeem made the helicopter and you write it mustakin. Can't the reporter ask the person to write his name in Hindi and show him.
These three mistakes I mention because in a brief 10-15 minutes when I was not even keenly watching the news, I heard them and got irritated. Apart from the prononunciation that is atrocious.
In just an hour you would find blunders. Mussoorie or Mussourie or what? They don't have any answer. They don't seem to have an atlas or google to find the district websites. But they are damn right about the bimbettes who change their spellings frequently on the numerologists' suggestions.
So Emraan Hashmi is spelt always correctly. What a joke.
I feel like giving a kick on the **** of the sub-editors and others who are just not interested in knowing anything about India. Hindu names of Rajasthan, UP and MP are misspelt and wrongly pronounced but the twing-twisting foreign names are always correct with the added accent.
If you say Etawah, be sure these guys will write Itawa. That is their intellect. Not only the cowbelt, even names and districts of South India are mispronounced save the two software cities. I am angry because I don't like such distortions and such kind of casual attitude. The CNN-IBN is no better. But one had expectations from NDTV which is a bi let down. They write Maoists kill 10 in Ch'garh and read it Chandigarh instead of Chhattisgarh because they have not much idea about Chhattisgarh a state with 2 crore population in the centre of India. It is better to listen to Akashwani and DD News English or Hindi else you will end up becoming a total chootia.
