Jailed for protesting water scarcity

The 14 residents of Nehru Nagar (Delhi) had paid enough bribe to the authorities and their pockets were not deep enough to pay more.

The water hadn't come in the taps for the last seven months and when they protested, they were arrested and sent to Tihar Jail where they spent four days.

It was a story that deserved front page on papers and first lead in news channles but didn't get the due attention. CNN IBN correspondent Arunima did a good job. Though I am told NDTV's Neha had done the story earlier.
