Hyderabad edition of International Herald Tribune at Rs 30
It is priced at Rs 30. And I simple can't afford to buy it. International Herald Tribune (IHT)Hyderabad edition the first-ever such edition of an international paper in India has completed a year in this country.
On my two visits to Hyderabadlast year, I saw it on the stands, picked it up but coulldn't dare to buy it. Kept it back. Isn't it too much when we are still used to buying papers for Rs 2-3 and the highest being Asian Age for Rs 5. Asian Age editor MJ Akbar is also the editor of IHT Hyderabad edition.
Curiously the paper doesn't have local content and seems there are no plans for expansion also. Its look is good and you are tempted to buy once in a while but when stories are available on the net, the price does act as the deterrent.
