A new media watchdog has been launched.
The website has been noticed in a short period because of its incisive commentary and criticism.
The website is www.MediaVigil.com and it also has a Facebook page.
Unlike existing sites, it is more attacking and exposes the corruption in media. The website is in English but it covers English media including newspapers and TV channels.
One of the oldest websites has been TheHoot. In Hindi, Bhadas4media has been a site where journalism-related issues are discussed along with information about journalists joining or leaving the groups.
EditIndia has been among the oldest media watchdogs online. We welcome MediaVigil and hope that it would analyse the work of print and electronic media in an unbiased manner. It has been hacked also, suggesting that it has been doing its job correctly.
