It was nice to read the story '3.3 degree Celsius: Chill numbs spirits' that highlighted the plight of a rickshaw-puller in Delhi's winter. After all the Times of India's target reader is not a rickshaw-puller ;) and probably long back such stories went out of fashion.
The rickshaw-puller Lal Singh needed two quilts in the night but could get only one because for each quilt he needs to pay Rs 5 per night and can't afford that. He has to save money for his family and children back home in UP. The reporter Vividha Kaul really did a good job. Such stories need to be done lest we forget the millions shivering in cold.
At last, CNN-IBN is on air. Though it is early to comment and seeing the channel focusing so much on Amitabh Bachchan getting discharged from hospital I was not too delighted either. Seems NDTV 24x7 will have now have a helthy competition.
