The New Look Sportstar
SPORTSTAR is one of the greatest magazines in the history of Indian media. For decades this less-expensive magazine has given tremendous joy to sports lovers. Now the Hindu group has redesigned it.
The youthful look is given. It is now a tabloid priced at just Rs 8. The photos are bigger and the matter less--probably international style. What a great service this magazine has done to Indian sports. I am okay with this change. What's your opinion buddies?

you can't be serious! please tell me you are joking. the sportstar's just awful as ever. it has never gone beyond compiling and updating scores and records of the week. and its write-ups are just as horrible as they were when i was in my shorts (how long those days of the 80s sound...) and begged money from my mother (father never encouraged such "nonsense") to buy the magazine. it should have a fresh, youthful bunch of writers (not the snobs in the guise of 'writers' proliferating the cricket magazines) to be really animative.
It is about a tradition and continuity. That's all. Of course, you are damn right about the writers and the articles.
