7,000 couples involved in 'wife swapping' in India, reveals TV channel IBN7 sting operation 'Lajja'

TV channel IBN 7 has claimed that thousands of 'couples are swapping wives' and indulging in sexual orgies at farm houses, homes and hotels with friends and like-minded couples.

The channel has said that in most of these cases not just the husband but the wife also has her consent and sexual relations are established with other couples in front of each other, for thrill and heightened enjoyment.

Thus, nearly 7,000 couples or 14,000 persons are actively engaged in swapping partners for sexual relations, without any hitch or shame--a major change from Indian society where morality reigned supreme and sex was a taboo for ages.

A doctor couple--medical practitioner husband and his physiotherapist wife, told the undercover reporters, who hadn't revealed their identity and had shown interest in joining the 'couple swapping' as part of the sting operation.

How journalist(s) managed to track, meet such couples

The reporters on the story had find such couples, sent them own photographs posing as a newly married couple, and later met to fix and finalise the next move.

Indrajeet Rai, the report, worked on this story. After nearly two months of effort, finding email IDs of couples engaged in swapping partners, the 'journo(s)' managed to meet such couples.

Using WhatsApp, connections were established and photographs were exchanged. The 'reporter couple' also met another couple--an MNC officer and his college teacher wife. They also belonged to Delhi, NCR region.

In kid's presence, couple gives invitation for 'wife swapping'

Shockingly, the couple had a three-year-old child along with them, and in his presence, they kept convincing the undercover reporters that there is no harm and no risk in such relations or open sexual orgies involving partners of each other.

Conversations recorded with hidden camera

The wife (physio) gave open invitation and said that the 'game' is perfectly fine and there will be no problem, if the new couple joins them. With hidden camera, entire conversation was shot and recorded by the journalists.

People from all sections of society getting into deviant sexual behaviour

From upper middle class to middle class, working women to housewife, people of all social strata are now into 'wife swapping'. Though it was believed that it was prevalent in India, the report shows that it has got acceptability among large sections of society.

Operation Kalank: Path-breaking reporting, a new chapter in Indian journalism

The BJP is blaming Tehelka and questioning motives of the channel. Aajtak Correspondent Dhimant Purohit has been booked in a false case in Gujarat.

And in Gujarat channels that showed mirror to the politicians and a lumpen society were blacked out.

But Indian journalism has emerged victorious. Tarun Tejpal's sting and the painstaking work of reporter Ashish Khaitan in bringing out the truth is an outstanding achievement.

The total subversion of justice in the state has been proved. Despite mainstream journalists' reservations about use of hidden camera, this particular sting operation will go down as one of the most important milestones in courageous and investigative journalism.

It has proved that Gujarat riots were no less than a Holocaust. And this is no ordinary feat.

Live India's sex scandal 'sting' & how CNN-IBN was saved

News channel Live India, has suffered a big blow to its reputation with the 'sting' of a Daryaganj school teacher (Delhi) involved in an allegd sex scandal.

But Rajdeep Sardesai must thank his stars as the journalist who planned the sting was earlier with CNN-IBN and the channel had decided to telecast it on Teacher's Day. Some sceptic guy were not convinced with the story and told the reporter Prakash Singh that he needed to explain a few more things about the operation.

The guy got left the channel and joined Live India, which foolishly aired the sting operation leading to outrage, mob violence and the teacher (Uma Khuarana's) dismissal. A fabricated sting has put the entire electronic media in the dock. Another wannabe journalist Rashmi Singh's role in the sting operation is under investigation. See the Indian Express story here and here.

Now Sudhir Chaudhary is saying that the reporter kept the channel in the dark. He had only recently left India TV to head Live India (formerly Janmat). What about the editorial skills of your editors. Poor Choudhary can't be expected to deliver better, after all, he is graduated from India TV school of journalism.
