The BJP is blaming Tehelka and questioning motives of the channel. Aajtak Correspondent Dhimant Purohit has been booked in a false case in Gujarat.
And in Gujarat channels that showed mirror to the politicians and a lumpen society were blacked out.
But Indian journalism has emerged victorious. Tarun Tejpal's sting and the painstaking work of reporter Ashish Khaitan in bringing out the truth is an outstanding achievement.
The total subversion of justice in the state has been proved. Despite mainstream journalists' reservations about use of hidden camera, this particular sting operation will go down as one of the most important milestones in courageous and investigative journalism.
It has proved that Gujarat riots were no less than a Holocaust. And this is no ordinary feat.
