Just because India was celebrating Diwali, the news channels also decided to serve us with an overdose of the festivities.
Every news had a Diwali angle. From sweets to rangolis, not one angle was left by the creative editorial minds. Whenever you tuned in, there was an anchor telling you something about Diwali.
For godsake, shut up, we know every thing about Diwali. Don't they realise that the person who has already celebrated the festival, is turning to the television to get something different and isn't he entitled to plain unspicy news. But news channels had everything to offer except News.
Except DD News, all other channels lost sense of propriety.

yes u r right
The private TV channels are making fools of themselves by over-doing,overplaying certain things particularly during religious festivals.Instead of raising the TRP,they are,in fact, alienating themselves from their viewers.Their anchor persons must be instructed not to waste the precious time of the public by being repetetive ad nauseum.I refer to India TV and IBN7 in particular.
