Sakaal Times, the latest English daily from Pune, is attracting journalists from all over the country.
The paper is paying well. The recently launched paper has got a good editorial team. It is rather too early to comment on the paper but the effort is laudable.
They plan to later publish the newspaper from Delhi and Mumbai also. But if they had planned to go national, they should have thought of a better name. Sakal may be a household name for Marathi speakers but it doesn't sound well and most of the people in other states don't understand the meaning of the word either.
On the paper's website (that looks pretty well), Anand Agashe, the Director Editor of the group, promises a lot. The start is good. Let's wait for a while before the review. Meanwhile, you can read the paper on the website http://epaper.sakaaltimes.com/
