After the first round of London blasts, the second round that saw not a single death was again the top news in Indian channels--so much that all programmes were suspended and for hours the news was aired,
But 75 killed in terror attacks in Egypt failed to stir Indian media. The news was carried but it was like some alien civilisation was attacked. Today the news came in the morning but it appeared that it was no news, afternoon papers carried it as a brief because Dawood's daughter's marriage and the speculations about the visitors there kept the frontpage makers busy.
Everyone seemd to forget that Egypt is in middle-east and closer to us than UK that is far far away. But why forget that Egypt at least managed to get into the news but thousands of deaths in Africa never reach Indian television viewers.
Africa and Latin America are just not important for these channels where morons manage the news. Middle-east somehow figures. Of course, Blair/Bush ko chheenk aa jaye to Aj Tak/ Star mein news banegi.
