So the great secret has been dislosed. Coomi Kapoor wrote in Indian Express that journos covering the foreign affairs beat don't ask questions during their media briefings because if they do, they are blacklisted, not taken on foreign tours, allowed into the inhouse briefings of the MEA etc etc
We wondered why no query was heard in such press conferences. Exposed, aren't they. I really marvel at the manner in which Pak journos shot tough questions at Musharraf in the presence of Bush. The questions embarrassed Mush. But our journos are too terrified. So what about the talks of free press and all? These journos on the beat can't dare boycott, after all, they have to go on junkets and avail facilities.
