Watching Ajtak, I found Shams Tahir Khan presenting a programme at around 11 pm (was it Jurm?)where they were showing crime stories of various cities across the country without mentioning the dates.
They were presented as if they were recent cases. However, I knew well they were at least two year old. Can you believe it? Just the fact that they need stuff to fill the time, old and 'exciting' stories are sold again and again.
I remembered one story because in the aftermath of a criminal lynched by women in Nagpur, a national daily had compiled such reports and published as 'Vigilante Justice'. Now Ajtak was showing those age-old stories as if they were recent incidents. Why?
