Dainik Bhaskar's black out of Uma Bharti's massive rally in Sagar on Thursday was astonishing to readers in Madhya Pradesh where the newspaper has a great monopoly. In fact, there is no Hindi newspaper that is even in the race except the upcoming Raj Express in centres like Bhopal.
The Ram Roti Yatra of Uma Bharti was a resounding success in Bundelkhand, which is Uma Bharti's region. However, Bhaskar did not publish a single line. Too bad for a newspaper that claims to be the number 1 paper in terms of circulation in India and the fastest-growing paper.
Uma Vs Agarwals is now quite an old story. But ever since Bhaskar allegedly launched a campaign against her and then Bharti showed the paper at a press conference and lambasted it for bias against her and accused Agarwals of being defaulters worth Rs 12 crore, the fight has reached another level. But Uma is not one who forgets, Agarwals may find it hard to black our the feisty Sanyasin.
