The errors in editing have increased in the Indian Express lately. You take the paper and except the front page that is very carefully edited and headlines given after much thought, the rest of paper is in a complete mess. Just a few days back I was reading that six column story on Samajwadi Party and through out the story it spelt Janeshwar Mishra as Jnaneshwar Mishra. That makes you angry. He is not saint Dnyaneshwar whose name is also spelt as Jnaneshwar. Or it is not Jnanpith. In Sanskrit Gyan is spelt as Jnan because Jna (generally pronounced gya) is a 'samyuktakshar'.
I emphasised Janeshwar Mishra's point because leave aside the general spelling mistakes the names of politicians are routinely misspelt in this prestigious paper that is surely cause of concern.

CENT PER CENT TRUE. RECENTLY, 2 TIMES, THE SAME STORY APPEARED IN TWO DIFFERENT PAGES OF INDIAN EXPRESS SUPPLEMENT. BESIDES, SO MUCH OF TEH EFATURES WRITTEN IS STRAIGHTAWAY LIFTED FROM THE INTERNET. SHAMELESSLY INDIAN EXPRESS JOURNALISTS PLAGARISE FROM THE NET. SO MANY OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS GIVEN ARE ALSO FROM NET. AND THE QUALITY OF WRITING IS SO INFERIOR. NEW INDIAN EXPRESS' IS BECOMING ONE OF THE WORST ENGLISH NEWS PAPERS INDIA HAS EVER SEEN.
MOROVER, IN JOURNALISTS CIRCLES, EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE PAID VERY LOW, AND THE PAY IS HIGHLY IRREGULAR. ANOTHER RUMOUR IS TAHT INDIAN EXPRESS JOURNALISTS ARE ALWAYS SITTING IN FRONT OF TIMES OF INDIA WEBSITE. AND THEY CALL THIS JOURNALISM?
errors are becoming habit in indian express. those who buy it paying money are fooled ultimately.
nath, 32.
