It's okay if you name a dog 'Shahrukh' but when you write it prominently in your blog post that 'Shahrukh is sitting down licking my feet', it borders on obscene arrogance.
Actor Amir Khan should have known that it is not a childish mistake. It may not be deliberate but he needn't mention this. Shahrukh Khan, the reigning superstar, is also a Bollywood actor like Amir.
And Khan, who wrote this useless thing on his blog, could have simply said that the 'dog was sitting by his side and he was feeding him biscuits'. But the actor who is quite intelligent and methodical knew that this would cause a controversy. Was he seeking attention?
By any standards, it is irresponsible. He went on to justify also that he didn't name the dog. Does he think that the readers are fool and can't distinguish between what is just an innocent information or a cheap way to get publicity.
The news channels have picked up the news and are screaming for the last couple of hours. The website address Aamir Khan's blog is http://www.aamirkhan.com/. We are neither die-hard fan of either of the actors nor dislike them but blogging freedom doesn't mean that everybit of trivia should be written on your blog.Whatever. It is surely in bad taste. The 765-odd comments on the blog suggest the same. Many advised the actor to write only if he has got a subject to make it into a blog post.
